Data readers

BESA Research has data import routines for most major EEG and MEG file formats. For a complete list of currently supported formats please click here.

The links below contain the latest data readers for specific file formats. These routines can be used with any BESA Research version starting from BESA 4.2.12. The latest readers can be downloaded from the links below.

• ATES (7 May 2004): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / ATES' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Bio-Logic (CEEGraph) (5 Jul 2010): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Bio-logic' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• BioSemi, EDF, EDF+ (3 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• BrainAmp / BrainVision (BrainProducts) (18 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• CTF (20 Jul 2010): Extract file 'CTFBesa.dll' to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory, file 'CTFBesa.chm' to subfolder 'Help'
• Deltamed (Coherence) (30 Jun 2010): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Coherence' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• EEProbe (ANT) (16 Jun 2006): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• Electrical Geodesics Inc. (EGI) (3 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• ERPSS (15 Mar 2004): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / ERPSS' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Galileo (EBNeuro) (15 Mar 2004): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Galileo' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Generic Reader (8 Jul 2010): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA installation directory. Use this tool to read any simple binary or ASCII format. Please refer to the program Help Chapter 'Special Topics / Working with Additional Files / Generic File Format' for detailed instructions.
• Grass-Telefactor (TWin REF) (20 Dec 2006): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / TwinRef' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• InstEP (14 Jan 2010): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / InstEP' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'. In order to read InstEP files, the InstEP software must be installed on your computer.
• Konstanz file format (17 Jul 2008): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / KN' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• MANSCAN interchange format (SAM) (11 May 2004): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Manscan' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Medtronic (12 May 2003): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Medtronic' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Micromed (3 May 2004): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Micromed' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Neuromag (7 Jul 2009): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• Neuronic (25 Oct 2002): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Neuronic' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• NexStim (13 Mar 2008): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / NexStim' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Nicolet (Nicolet Biomedical Inc.) (3 Mar 2000): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Nicolet' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• NicoletOne-Nervus (28 Jan 2009): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / NicoletOne-Nervus' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Nihon Kohden (26 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'System / Readers' of your BESA Research installation directory.
• Phoenix II (EMS) (15 Mar 2004):Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Phoenix' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Stellate Harmonie (02 Sep 2008): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Stellate Harmonie' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'Install.bat'. In order to read Harmonie files, the Harmonie software must be installed on your computer.
• Vangard (LaMont Medical Inc.) (3 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / Vangard' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• XLTEK (3 May 2010): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers / XLTEK' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'.
• Yokogawa (13 Jan 2009): Extract to subfolder 'Utilities / Additional Readers /Yokogawa' of your BESA Research installation directory. Then run 'InstallReader.exe'. In addition, manually copy file DllforMeg160.dll to the BESA Research installation folder.
